(ARCHIVE) Gibson Les Paul Junior Faded Cherry 2009
- Description
- Guitarchives
Gibson Les Paul Junior, made in USA 2009, faded cherry. So often, simple is the best. The combination of a slab of mahogany, a simple wrap around bridge and a single P-90 pickup delivers so much tone, it'll make you wonder why you ever wanted all that extra stuff in the first place. There's a sweet clarity and sparkle through the top end that lends definition and dynamics to lead lines, while the fast and thick midrange adds weight and depth to chords. If you're frequently jumping from rhythm to lead and back again, this makes for a great 'transition' guitar as it covers both bases so nicely. The neck is a moderate '59 shape, neither skinny nor chunky, sitting nicely in the hands and allowing you to just get carried away playing without wrestling with it. The matte finish is showing a bit of wear around the edges, but it's in pretty tip top shape considering how thin the nitro coat is. With a bit more play and natural wear on the clock, this will have the look and feel of a proper well played vintage Gibson. These seldom last long around here, so if you've got the hankering, don't leave this one hanging!
