Gibson Les Paul Special DC, TV Yellow, made in USA 2005. It looks pretty good, no? The LP Special is the two pickup version of the LP Junior with a sensible bridge/tailpiece combo, so it's simple and effective. The extra cut in the body lightens the weight significantly, so this clocks in at a wondrous 3.04kg... heck, that's light for a Les Paul. That translates to excellent natural resonance and in turn, heaps of attack and snap plugged in. This is perfect for punk stuff: it growls with a fat natural bass and a super responsive, immediate midrange and a sparkly, talkative treble... it just wails. The neck is very well played, so it's superbly slick in the hands and feels just right. The worn yellow nitro finish looks fantastic too, it's got just enough wear around the edges to show it means business. Extraordinarily cool.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor marks on the end and edges. The neck has significant rub wear as pictured, but it's feeling super smooth and glorious in the hands. The back has some scuffs and surface scratches in the middle of the body as well as some rib wear on the top and bottom edges. The sides have rub wear around the whole body but nothing nasty. The front has some rub wear on the top edge in the elbow area as well as some standard play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, there's no major buzz issues and they're fairly even, they don't need immediate attention, but there is the start of some pitting; 6/10 for fret life left. No headstock breaks. Setup with fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
