Gibson LP Studio, black, made in USA 2008. This is the lightest Les Paul I can ever recall picking up, it's quite remarkable. This era of LP Studios were heavily chambered to relieve weight and add some attack and openness to the tone, it's quite a departure from the typical LP-heft. The lightness lends the guitar an ease of play; it's fast and smooth in the hands and a pleasure to play up and down the slim neck. The pickups have been switched for some 80s era 'Dirty Fingers' HBs; they pump out a lot of output, but offer a great snappy attack and a heap of brightness and sparkle. You still get the classic creamy mids, but with a bit of extra bite and sizzle on the top. The played-in black finish has a certain punk appeal; this is a guitar with plenty of stories to tell, it's an all-black all-out riff monster itching for some action. The pre-stencilled black snakeskin Gibson tour-ready case is a handy addition too. Now, how many Millencolin songs can you play?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a quite lot of small marks, but nothing really big or noticeable. The most evident marks: chip on the top in the shoulder care area, chip on the end of the headstock, dent on the back of the neck around the bottom near 2nd fret (not a problem feel-wise), chip on bottom edge near the knobs. Aside from that, there's a lot of shallow buckle-rash scratches, some play scratches above the strings and on the guard and a few other minor scratches around the body. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10 for life left. No headstock breaks! Setup with fresh 11/49s and playing beautifully.
