Gibson SG Voodoo, made in USA 2004. This is so cool. When it arrived, the first I noticed was the awesome red snakeskin case... it's really quite something. These Voodoo models were made briefly from 2002-4, after the first round of Gothic models but before the second. There's some cool cosmetic touches: black over red TV finish, so the red bleeds through the black along the swamp ash grain lines, single ply black '66 style batwing guard, ebony board, black tuners and bridge, cute little cartoon skull inlay... it's got that kitsch goth-punk aesthetic absolutely nailed. This one has had some fun mods: a Bigsby tailpiece and a pair of covered 490 humbuckers dropped in. The ash body makes this a little snappier in the attack with a more pronounced high-end and high midrange than a standard SG. The 490s are a relatively dark pickup, so they balance out the grindiness of hte ash body nicely. These are increasingly collectible and in all original shape are starting to fetch $3k+, so if you're after a super cool guitar and you still wear a big fringe and listen to My Chemical Romance, this one is for you.

The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has some sticker fade marks, rub wear around the cavity and widespread dimples and scuffs, nothing too nasty. The side have some decent rub wear in the elbow area, scuffs and dimples near the jack and some dimples on the bottom horn. The front has some plugged holes and screw holes from the original tailpiece, some dimples near the knobs, some rub wear and a bald patch on the elbow area, rub wear and scuffs on both horns and the guard. Overall: good condition (7/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have some normal wear including the start of some minor pitting,  but there's no major buzz issues and there's heaps of height left, 6/10 for life left. No headstock breaks! Setup with fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
