Greco EGC57-60, 1985, black. This Les Paul Custom style model is from Greco's very well regarded 'Mint Collection' series. These are revered for their exceptional build quality and very 'vintage correct' specs; this is a very close replica of the famed originals. The neck on this is a 'slim 60s' style profile, and it feels great. The bound fretboard with 'nibs' on the edge of the frets feels very classy; the workmanship is amazingly precise. It's nicely weighted; the body is lightly chambered to keep the weight to a reasonable level; it also feels very resonant and responsive. The deep carves of the top really have a sophisticated and elegant look, the high-gloss black has aged beautifully and the aged cream double binding sets it off perfectly. The guard and pickup covers are missing and the knobs have been replaced, otherwise an example like this would fetch a very significant sum. The pickups dole out the creamy, thick, juicy and rich LP goodness, it's extremely satisfying... a sound for sore ears. This is a perfect example of why these mid 80s 'lawsuit era' Grecos are so desirable: it's truly a terrific guitar!

There's some scratches above and below the strings from play, they're pretty light. The bottom edge has a few things to note: a chip near the input jack in the binding, a dent approx 4cm long around from the bridge volume knob, and a scratch where the pickguard would be attached. Overall: good condition (7.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s, playing like butter!
