Greco SE500, natural finish, made in Japan 1977. This is a lovely item. By the mid 70s, Greco were making terrific instruments; in many ways they were better than what was coming out of USA at the time. This is awesome in the hands: light and lively, heaps of natural resonance, awesome slim round neck... it just works. The tone is bright and sparkly with an assertive, full bodied midrange; the ash/maple combo with some tasty vintage voiced pickups are a great combo. The naturally yellowed gloss natural finish and maple board are a golden delight, it look awesome in an understated way. If you'e after a 70s Strat and are more concerned with tone and mojo then logos, this is surely a treat waiting to be enjoyed.
