Greco SV-800 semi-hollow, made in Japan 1979. Vintage Greco 335-style guitars are in growing renown and demand, and it's perfectly justified: they're brilliant instruments, and this one is a great example of such wonders. This was made entirely by hand at the famed Fujigen plant, right in the middle of their 'golden era' that made them world famous. The SV series is slightly smaller across the body than a 335, and you get a small-hands-friendly slim neck, so it's Japanese pragmatism and comfort at it's best. It's an absolute pleasure to play; it's effortless in the hands and the quality of the build is certainly tangible. The white sycamore body has some stunning figuring, it's subtle and classy below the rich walnut stain and really carries an air of sophistication. The split-hex inlays, aged cream binding, aged gold hardware and awesome pearl inlaid headstock all complement the walnut finish perfectly; this is a supremely gorgeous creation. These don't come up very often, especially in this finish, so if you're keen on a delightful semi hollow that'll cover all sorts of styles brilliantly, don't wait too long.

Our local pro luthier has done a repair to the neck-to-body joint, so that's been re-glued to make it stable and cosmetically tidy; see the additional pics. The headstock has some minor marks on the end and some light scratches and checking on the front. The neck has some mild play wear scuffs and marks but is tidy and smooth in the hands. The back of the body has some widespread but inconsequential light scratches and dimples, as well as some uneven fading from a long-removed sticker. The sides are fairly clean, just a few minor dimples around fromn the jack and knobs and some checking lines. The front is pretty clean, there's some minor dimples near the knobs and bottom horn, some light marks behind the bridge and some play scratches on the top horn and guard. The old hardware has some corrosion but all works fine. Overall: good condition (7/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, around 7/10 for life left. Setup with fresh 11/49s.
