Greco TVB-45, white, made in Japan 1990. This is a charming little thing. Greco started doing basses in this style in the 70s, taking Gibson's LP Special DC as the starting point but creating something that Gibson never quite offered. It's a medium scale 32" neck, a couple of inches shorter than a P or J, but longer than a standard EB-3/SG bass. It's comfy and compact in the hands without feeling too cramped, and balances well with a strap. The tone is swampy and thick, with a fat fundamental note and a round, warm midrange. It will excel in blues or doom type stuff, although it's certainly not limited to those niches. Heaps of bass for the cash, and it looks pretty mean too.
