Gretsch G6118T Anniversary, smoke green, made in Japan 2015. This is the first one of these we've ever had, which seems crazy to me: I've admired this model for so long, it's obscenely cool. The 'Anniversary' model is basically a modified take on the classic Chet Atkins 'Nashville' 6120: fully hollow maple body, slim quick neck with a gorgeous ebony board, the quirky electronics with a master volume control and a three way tone switch, and this case, the proper big boi Bigsby. Then, pain it up in two tone green: a darker, olive drab style on the back and sides, and a snazzy seafoam green on the top. Good gracious, what a gorgeous guitar. The tone is gooey and rich, with a glorious sticky midrange, rounded plump lows and talkative treble. It really responds well to a nuanced player: if you work at getting your dynamics really deliberate, this will reward that richly. It's super comfy and lively in the hands too, the thing really feels alive. Remind me again why we it took me this long to buy one?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor scuffs on the edges from a string winder. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and rub wear on the back only. The back has minor dimples in the elbow area and some scuffs and rub wear in the middle of the body. The sides have scuffs near the jack. The front has minor scuffs along the back edge and elbow area and some play wear on the guard and shoulders.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
