(ARCHIVE) Ibanez FRM100 Paul Gilbert Fireman Trans Red 2011

Ibanez FRM100, trans red, made in China 2011. The Fireman is the brainchild of Paul Gilbert, the shredemon noted for his blazing speed and work with Mr Big and Racer X. It borrows a 24.75" scale and mahogany body from the Gibson method and three single coils from Fender land, plus the Iceman headstock and shape from the Ibanez archives. It's a great sounding guitar: heaps of tasty mids and cut, balanced by a warm low end. The neck is well shaped for quick playing; it's slim and round with a pretty flat board, plus the neck joint allows for easy upper access. These are discontinued now and likely to increase in quirky cult-fan acclaim in years to come, so if you like beefy Fireman, here's you shot!
