Ibanez GAX30, black, made in China 2004. Ibanez have generally produced well made guitars, even at the bottom end of their price range. This Gio series was a basic model in it's day, but hey, it's a perfectly respectable beginner guitar with a lot to offer. The SG-ish shape is easy to get your hands around, the neck and fretwork is nicely done and it plays nicely. The humbuckers deliver a warm crunch; no issues there!  This kind of dollar gets you nought but a kick in the pants new, so nab yourself a mean little black Ibanez and get going!
