(ARCHIVE) Ibanez V300S Dreadnought Acoustic 1981
- Description
- Guitarchives
Ibanez Vintage Series V300S dreadnought acoustic, made in Japan 1981, natural finish. This is a friendly old thing. It's not complicated: solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood board, fairly standard construction in many ways. This line was hand made at the time, so there's a lot of love that's gone into it. The tone is snappy, bright and loud; there's plenty of natural definition and volume. The pickup is basic but translates the acoustic tone fairly effectively without the nasal tone you sometimes get from a piezo style. Adding a few decades to an acoustic rarely does harm, and this has surely mellowed nicely to a merry old soul.
