Jayro JNG800B Newport, surf green. This is two things: mysterious and awesome! It's a copy of a National Val Pro Newport model, which was a resoglass bodied guitar made in Chicago in the 60s, similar to the guitars made famous by Jack White. This one isn't resoglass though; it's made of solid alder. Jayro guitars are made by legendary Japanese manufacturers Diviser, who also make Bacchus and Momose guitars which enjoy a cult following owing to their exceptional build quality. This is perfectly put together, it's a joy in the hands. The jumbo frets, slim neck and easy-access four-bolt joint allow for easy movement and fast playing, and the contoured body is comfy and intuitive. The tone is amazing: thick, defined, expressive, fat, full and bright. Some of these kind of guitars have been noted for difficult playability and questionable tone... this one bucks the trend with it's effortless playability and brilliant tone. You might've already noticed, but it looks amazing. The art-deco styling and surf green finish are delightfully kitsch, this absolutely belongs on stage. Weird, but also wonderful.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's a minor chip on the neck pocket just above the 21st fret, a couple of dents up from the tailpiece, a couple of marks on the binding on the top horn and below the knobs and near the first fret and a couple of minor dents/marks on the back in the buckle-rash zone. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are jumbo size with minor wear only, 8.5/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s, brilliant!
