Maton 425/12, natural satin finish, made in Melbourne 1999. Maton guitars has long been favoured by working players around our fair nation owing to their comfy necks, simple classy aesthetic and open, clear sound. This nails all those hallmarks, and delivers the added jangle and sparkle of twelve strings. It's got a comfy C shaped neck, neither too wide not too thin, as well as sturdy hardware that holds tune nicely. The tone is bright and expansive, with a lovely airy midrange and a dry, tuneful bass. The pickup is simple but handy too. Note this one has a repaired crack in the top as described below. It's a friendly, agreeable twelve, you're sure to get along.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has scuffs on the end and some dimples on both edges. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has surface scratches on the top shoulder, dimples on the bottom shoulder, elbow area and middle of the body and some rub wear along the top an bottom edges. The sides have dimples on the top shoulder and near the jack and some rub wear on the elbow area and bottom shoulder. The front has a repaired crack behind the bridge running to the back edge just down from the middle of the top, as well as a smaller crack just up from the middle. There's some dimples in the bottom corner, back edge, behind the bridge and on the shoulders, as well as some rub wear in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and shoulders.
Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Setup with Rotosound 10 gauge strings.
Fret Life: 7/10, normal wear but playing evenly with no major buzz issues.
