Morris W-18, made in Japan around 1980, natural finish. Morris stuff did really well in Japan for several decades; these earlier examples are nicely made little Martin-style guitars that punch well above their price bracket. This one is based off a D-18, so it's got a traditional square shoulder dreadnought shape with a dovetail joint, mahogany back and sides and a spruce top. As you'd expect, it works well: this has a sweet warm woody tone, plenty of natural volume and low end and a snappy, crisp treble. The neck is a moderate round shape and the action is pretty low, so you're never working too hard to play it. If you're after a charming strummer to write tunes on, this one has played a few in it's time and is ready to play some more.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end and sides. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, just a few dimples on the back. The back has widespread light scuffs and dimples but no major marks. The sides have widespread light scuffs, mostly along the bottom side; no major marks. The front has minor dimples and scuffs around the outside, a little dent near the soundhole and some play wear on the guard and shoulders. Overall: good condition (7/10).

Playing condition notes: action is moderately low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets look pretty even and in good shape, 7/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
