Orville EB-3, cherry red, made in Japan 1993. So cute hey! The EB-3 is the SG body shape in bass form, with a handy little 30.5" scale neck. Being a short scale, this has a big, rounded, warm, soupy punch and a strong fundamental note. The extra pickup is fun too, perhaps a nod to Billy Sheehan and a handy addition for some more balanced tones. Orville is the first name of the original Mr Gibson, and was Gibson's 80s-90s era foray into Japanese manufacturing. This was made at the excellent Terada factory, who always do millimeter perfect work, so it feels outstanding. This is certainly suitably quirky, but it will sure be an entertaining and enjoyable little addition to the squad.
