PRS P22, charcoal burst, made in USA 2012. This is a delightful item. The P22 is a twist on the iconic Custom 22, but with a handy addition: a piezo pickup. The piezo on board was designed in a collaboration with acoustic pickup wizards LR Baggs. It's got a seperate output jack, so you can potentially run an acoustic-style pre-amp for steel-string type while simultaneously using the other output for conventional electric tones. The 53/10 humbuckers are excellent too: there's that signature PRS bell-like clarity, lending every note plenty of definition and sparkle with a weighty low end an open, complex midrange. You can blend the piezo in with the humbuckers, and with a little bit mixed in adds a whole bunch of extra percussive click and snap to notes and a breathy openness in the treble frequencies. As per usual with PRS USA stuff, this features an absolutely gorgeous book-matched flame maple top and stellar workmanship, there's not a hair out of place in the build. The neck is a slim round shape, different to the 'wide/thin' profile and more akin to a slim-60s Gibson style shape, which I personally find very agreeable. These are tricky to find these days but worth every bit of trouble. Thanks Paul!
