PRS S2 Singlecut, dark cherry sunburst, made in USA 2019. The S2 series was designed as a stripped back take on Paul's Core series models, still made in USA, but with a bit less bling and as such, they sold for a few less Freedombucks. You still get the PRS good stuff: locking tuners with the straight string path over the headstock, super practical intonatable wraparound bridge, belly and elbow carves for balance and comfort, push/pull pickup splits, fancy flame maple carved top and some birbs on the board. There's just a bit less binding and whatnot, which is totally fine with me. The neck is a comfy rounded 'pattern regular' shape, which sits nicely in the hands and offers good access all the way up to the top frets. The bridge pickup has been switched for a USA-made Tremonti model, which delivers the goods: rich, warm, hot and juicy, and pretty good when split to a single too. The neck pickup is dark and rounded and adds a nice depth that's handy for jazz or solo singer type stuff. There's plenty to like here, and you don't see these pop up on the used market all that often, so if you're after an easy-in for a USA PRS, S2 SC FTW.
