Photogenic branded Jag copy, year unknown, candy apple red. This brand does quite well as a second-tier offering in Japan, although they basically don't exist in the rest of the world. Here's what we know: this has been modded a lot and the idea was to come close to a Johnny Marr signature Jag. So that means it's got the blade switch and master volume and tone. The wiring differs from the real JM Jag in the top switches; they're not bright switches but a killswitch and a hi-pass in this case. It's got a flat-ish neck profile like a Squier VM Jag, and feels quite similar to that model in general. The neck feels pretty sturdy and the frets are nicely done. The body is apparently a Fender body, although the hardware doesn't match, it may well be as it appears Photogenic don't currently offer a Jag style model; the neck may be from their Mustang copy. The switching in this actually allows for some super cool tones; it's thick and full and warm and really does sound good. The feel is good too, it doesn't feel like a cheap and nasty guitar. If you're after a Jag style for a bargain, or a Jag style to mod to your hearts content, this is a handy little addition.

Neck & bridge pickup: Jag style single coils
Controls: top panel has two slide switches, a master kill switch and a hi-pass filter switch. The 5 way switch offers these positions: neck, neck with low-pass filter, neck and bridge in series, neck and bridge in parallel, bridge only. The knobs are master volume and tone.

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's a big chip on the back below the rear strap pin. Aside from that, it's just minor scratches and dimples. Overall: good condition (7/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have minor wear only, 8/10. All electrics tested and working properly. Setup with fresh 11/49s, playing nicely!
