(ARCHIVE) Rickenbacker 4003 Bass Jetglo 1998
- Description
- Guitarchives
Ric 4003 bass, Jetglo finish, made in USA 1998. This has quite a presence about it, no? The 4003 has a very distinct tone about it: thick and swampy on the low end, with a snarly, sharp top end that lends every note a singing clarity that'll will shine through any mix. The neck is a slightly beefy D shape, not too different to a Precision Bass but a little squarer around the edges. It feels great in the hands: the balance is good, the hardware is sturdy and the body is naturally responsive. Now, it kinda goes without saying, but it looks superb too. The triangular inlays, bound fretboard and body, slick lines and abundance of chrome is such a magical mix. Tip trick: this won't last very long.
