Rickenbacker 4003, Jetglo, made in USA 2019. These are surely a strong contender for the coolest looking bass of all time. The oversized horns, abundance of chrome, tooth inlays, gloss rosewood fretboard, crisp tuxedo black finish... oh boy, it just radiates style. This one is probably the cleanest example we've ever had through the shop: it really almost could pass for brand new, which is a rather nice bonus. It's not especially heavy and balances nicely in the hands, with a generous natural resonance and unplugged volume. Plug it in, and it's got an immediate presence: abundant attack, fat creamy lows and a snappy, snarling high end that will never get lost in the mix. It's perfect for dirty tones, but cleans up with panache too. These seldom last more than a few days in the shop, so if you've always wanted one, well... haven't you just been so good lately?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor dimples on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, very minor rub wear only. The back has minor dimples on both horns and the elbow area. The sides have light scuffs in the elbow area and a dimple near the jack. The front has scuffs around the bridge and some play wear on the horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
