Squier Paranormal Esquire Deluxe in Metallic Black, made in China 2023. Here's a fun take on the Telecaster Deluxe—Telecaster body and Tele Deluxe guard, belly carve, single bridge humbucker, and some fun switching. You get a standard volume pot and tone pot, but with a rotary switch that selects between humbucking, humbucking bypassing the tone and volume controls, as well as an inner-coil only 'single coil' mode. You also get a nice belly carve on the back and a semi-modern "C" shape maple neck with a gloss finish. It's a comfy player with plenty of tonal options, but most importantly, it's in Metallic Black, and as they say, "If you want paying work, get a sparkle finish."
