Squier CST30 Strat, made at the legendary Fujigen factory in Japan in 1984-87. The CST30 was a short lived 70s style model, so you get the 3-bolt neck, head-end hex-bolt truss adjuster (easier!) and the supremely cool big CBS-style headstock. They were only made for a couple of years, the 60s style models are much more common. This is a proper mid 80s Fender Japan Strat: it's brimming with mojo and magic. The neck is excellent; the 70s profile is slim and cooperative, it's a joy in the hands. The body is nicely balanced and feels lively, contributing to a balanced, warm and instantly charismatic tone. E-serial Fender branded Strats are increasingly scarce, it's difficult to nab one for under $1k in any condition... the smart money is on the Squier guitars from the same factory: history will be kind to this one!
Model: Squier Stratocaster, CST30
Made: Japan, (serial E549716)

Body: alder as per catalog, not 100% certain

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's some minor dings on the end of the headstock, a few dings on the back and a couple of minor marks on the front near the input jack; none of this is major. The guard has some scratches and the chrome parts have some normal discolouration. Overall condition: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is very low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal play wear, they're pretty even; 7/10 for life left. Stratty-goodness.
