Sterling SUB Ray4, white, made in Indonesia circa 2012. The SUB series is Ernie Ball's most affordable take on the Stingray genre, and they're pretty good really. This has some classic Ray appointments: 3+1 headstock, chunky bridge, single humbucker, active pre-amp. It sounds good: thick and immediate, heaps of attack, snarly midrange, great for funk or harder rock stuff. The reverse-tuxedo black and white looks cool, it's a swish look. Sub this one in.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the  end and back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has lots of minor scuffs around the body, including along the back edge, belly carve, middle of the body and both horns, as well as some dimples along the bottom edge. The sides scuffs on the top horn and elbow area and some dimples near the jack and on the bottom horn. The front has scratches in the elbow area, scuffs around the bridge and knobs and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
