Takamine TD-27, natural gloss, made in Japan 1983. These vintage Taka dreadnoughts are charming creatures, they have a certain understated elegance. The TD-27 was a mid 80s model that references the famed Martin D-18, so it's got the traditional square shoulder dreadnought shape with a dovetail joint and the classic spruce/mahogany body combo. The neck is a slim C shape, and with the crisp fretboard binding and tidy workmanship, it's easy and fun to play. The tone on deck is a bright and bubbly take on the dreadnought boom, with a pronounced midrange and plenty of articulation for fingerstyle playing. Simple, but a friendly companion to come home to.

The back has widespread surface scratches and light scuffs but no major marks. The sides have minor dimples and light scuffs around the whole body but no major marks. The front is also nice and tidy, just a few dimples on the elbow area, scuffs on the bottom bout and some standard scuffs from play on the guard and shoulders. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: action is moderately, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets look nice and even and in pretty good shape, 8/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 12/54 Moonshiners strings.
