Taylor 214ce-G grand auditorium acoustic/electric, made in Mexico 2011. This really sounds like a Taylor should: bright, clear, defined, quick and loud. The grand auditorium shape was Bob Taylor's first body design, it's a variation on the dreadnought with a slimmer profile. It's superbly comfy; the slightly shallower depth means it sits beautifully and also brings out a little extra spank in the attack. The neck is slim and sturdy, it's easy to move around on and the ebony board feels great under the fingers. The onboard electronics deliver a natural, accurate and easily tweaked tone when amplified, it's very easy to dial in a great sound. These fetch about $1.7k new if you can track one down; they're scarce in Australia currently. This is an ideal gigging guitar, it's an easy player with a fits-anywhere tone... what a great companion.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's some scratches on and around the guard from play, as well as a few dimples on the top. The back has a couple of minor scratches and there's a minor ding on the headstock. The neck lacquer is nicely played-in, it's glossed up and feels great. Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Very low action, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets are in great shape with minor wear only, 9/10. Setup with Martin 80/20 bronze 12/53 gauge strings.
