TUNE Casiopea, built in their Korea-based custom shop, 2015. TUNE have a long history of making extremely high quality guitars and basses for a small but dedicated following. This is a proper high-end bass. You get all the deluxe hardware: Bartolini pickups, a sweet active pre-amp with a three-way cut/boost EQ, high-mass bridge, luxury Gotoh tuners... it's all high-class stuff. The slim 5-piece maple/walnut neck is perfectly slim and lightning-quick; it's a precision-weapon for a discerning player; and the ebony board is superbly smooth under the fingers. The walnut top is a stunning piece, it's got some stunning grain on full display under the gloss clear finish; the tight;y grained mahogany body is on show on the back... it's all class. The tone on offer is very customisable and very articulate and precise, but with a heap of growl and body attached. If you're after a top-notch bass that'll easily switch from jazz to funk to metal in a normal working week, this will do it with ease!
