Fender Japan Jaguar Special in gun metal red, 2004-06. If you love the look and comfort of the Jag body, but struggle a little with the tremolo, bridge and super stark jangle of a regular '66 reissue Jag, this fairly rare Japan only model might be the answer. You get two moderate-output Fender Dragster humbuckers and very sensible tune-o-matic bridge with a stop tail piece, so you get a big creamy tone and great tuning stability. The famous dual-circuitry is still there, so you can instantly dial in a whole heap of different sounds. The alder body is perfectly balanced, you can see why people get so taken with this shape: the comfort is pretty hard to beat. Plus, on top of all that, it's got that sci-fi anime swagger that only Japanese Fenders have; it'll look perfect on stage. This is a very practical rock machine.

Cosmetic condition notes: Moderate finish wear. There's a few pretty reasonable dings in the body, one on the back, a couple on the bottom near the input jack and one on the bottom horn near the switching. There's a bit of buckle rash, and the guard has some scratches from play. Neck and board are good. The black chrome hardware has a but of tarnish, it's a cool look. Overall condition: fair to good (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Minor fret wear including the beginning of some pitting, but plenty of life left, maybe 7/10. All electrics tested and working properly, truss rod works. Super comfy rock machine with heaps of attitude.
