Fender Jazz Bass, '75 reissue, made in Japan 84-87, natural gloss over ash. This guy has mojo in spades! The 'E serial' MIJ Fenders date to the mids 80s, which is pretty early in the story for Fender's Japan adventures; they're sensational quality and increasingly collectable. This one is in clean condition too, it's hard to believe it's 30+ years old! The grain on the sen ash looks amazing; around the neck joint area is especially intricate and beautiful. The lacquer has aged to a deep golden hue, it's stunning to behold. The 70s-style maple board and block inlays combo is a nice departure from the more common rosewood-with-dots 60s style that's more prevalent, and the maple board lends a bit of extra brightness and articulation to the tone. This is a proper J: solid in the hands, heaps of growl and body in the tone, easy on the eyes; what a killer!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's some minor dimples here and there, but barely anything really. There's some chips in the fretboard lacquer on the 21st fret area, right up the top. There's some minor discolouration on the chrome parts, and the lacquer has 'yellowed' up beautifully. Overall: excellent condition, 8.5/10.
Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Setup with fresh 45/105s. Playing beautifully!
