Fender Jaguar in candy apple red, made in Japan in 2002-04, hot-rodded for extra fun. A previous owner has done a few mods, so this one has a buzz-stop bar locking the vibrato system, the easier-to-manage Mustang bridge and locking tuners, as well as a simplified electronics setup with the rhythm circuit disengaged. The biggest mod, an unusual one, is the fretboard; it's been professionally scalloped from the twelfth fret. This cleans up the high notes, minimises fret buzz and maximises sustain. Looks a little weird, feels good! The classic Jag shape and candy apple combo is stunning as always, and the mods lend this one a thicker, stronger, warmer tone that's still got that classic jangle but with a bit more oomph. If you can't look good playing this, you're in trouble.

Cosmetic condition notes: Mild finish wear. There's a few scratches and dings around the body, nothing too nasty. The most noticeable scratch is approx 2cm across and is on the back, which is otherwise largely spared of buckle rash. Overall: good condition.
Playing condition notes: Action is very low, neck is straight, intonation is good. Minor fret wear, but plenty of life left. All electrics tested and working properly. The mods are all significant but they all make sense when you plug in and play, the guitar has a great thick sound and easy feel.
