Fender Telecaster, '72 reissue, made in Japan 1984-7, in delicious natural gloss over ash. What a babe! The natural finish really shows the unique and complex grain of the four piece ash body, it's very eye-catching. The maple board has aged beautifully, with the neck and headstock mellowing to a stunning honey look that complements the body perfectly. The standard Fender single coils sound great, they're big and full with lots of natural bass and attack; it's classic Tele twang. The sweet slim neck is an easy player, and has that 'played-in' feel. These E-serial mid-80s Japanese Telecasters are famously brilliantly made; this is perfectly reassuring in the hands and easy on the ears and you can feel the precision and love that went into it. Super sweet.

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. The frets are in reasonable condition, there's the start of some minor pitting but there's plenty of life left, 6.5/10. The neck is slim and fast and feels very sturdy. Big tone, easy feel, knockout looks!
