(ARCHIVE) Vantage 725B Bass Black 1995
- Description
- Guitarchives
Vantage 725B bass, black, made in Korea 1995. Vantage stuff initially came out of the iconic Matsumoku factory in Japan. As the years progressed they moved production to Korea, and while the brand was never a mass market force like Ibanez or ESP, they were always nicely executed. This bass is lightweight, easy to play and holds tune nicely. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a juicy humbucker, so this has plenty of heft and punch on deck. If you're after a very solid little item to get your bass dreams rolling, this will serve.

The neck is clean and smooth, minor dimples and rub wear on the back only. The back has two screw holes in the middle of the body, as well as widespread light scuffs around the whole body. The sides have minor dimples around the whole body, as well as a chip near the jack. Note the jack plate is a home-job bent into shape, it's functional but visually a bit funky. The front has scuffs in the elbow area, dimples around the knobs and scuffs on the horns from play. Overall: good condition (6.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have some normal wear but are in reasonable shape, 7/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
