Washburn HB-15C jazzbox, made in Indonesia 2008, sunburst. Washburn are one of the oldest guitar makers in the world, they started in 1883 shortly after Martin got going. This is a fairly recent offering out of Indo, and it's a nice thing. Most guitars we get in this genre are made of maple, but this has a mahogany body and neck, lending it beautiful understated aesthetic and a tone like a thick, warm blanket on a cold night. It's got a warm rounded low end and a complex, vocal midrange. The neck is comfy and the body is a pretty agreeable shape, it's an easy player. It does one thing really, but with conviction and grace.
