(ARCHIVE) Yamaha SE450 Strat Tobacco Burst 1984
- Description
- Guitarchives
Yamaha SE450, made in Taiwan 1984, tobacco burst. This little guy is basically a slightly rounder version of Strat shape; it's nice and comfy. It's got a moderately chunky 50s style neck, similar to a Fender Japan ST57, but with a nice dark rosewood board. The tone is a little warmer and darker than a standard Strat, but it still has the spank and cut you expect from this kind of setup. It's a nice little player that makes a lot of sense in the hands, built back when guitars were made properly from high quality timber. The two-tone burst finish is classy too.

Overall: good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear, nothing nasty, 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/46s, setup and ready to go!
