Dean Guitars Razorback X Leadbetter Rabid Dog Relic Melted Black Battle Relic 2022
Dean Razorback X, relic and mods, made in China 2022. The Razorback is a metal classic, made famous by Pantera's Dimebag Darrell. It's a surprisingly comfortable shape to play, although you've gotta be careful turning around while you hold it, lest you bang the pointy bits on stuff/people. This example found itself in the Mornington, Australia workshop of Leadbetter Guitar Co, and it was never the same since. Firstly, it's been functionally stripped to it's core elements: one super hot bridge pickup, one volume control (it lights up!)... the rest of the holes have been plugged. It's then been refinished in epoxy, which was then burned and melted. It looks fantastic: weird, but so cool. The neck was also roasted to match, which feels fantastic. Plug it in now, and it's a beast: huge snarling lows and angry midrange kick, barely clean into any amp, keen to chug and wail all day. The Leadbetter guys only do a small handful of each of these Rabid Dog Relic models, so this is your one shot if you're hankering.

Cosmetic condition notes: relic finish wear. The neck has no major marks save for the roasted colour. The finish on the body has a melted relic trearment but no other major marks.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 strings, tuned to D-standard.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
