Edwards Limited E-LP-92SD Vintage Honeyburst 2007
Edwards E-LP-92SD, honeyburst, made in Japan 2007. Edwards falls under the ESP family of brands, mostly offering vintage Fender and Gibson style models to the local Japan market. This is a twist on the classic LP Standard, so you get the nice flame top under a burst finish, a chunky neck with the cool inlays and a pair of tidy Duncan humbuckers. It's impressive in the hands: smooth and agreeable to play, good woodwork, great frets, sturdy hardware... better than many guitars that fetch more coins, no doubt. The mandarin-orange burst is vibrant and rich, paired with the zebra pickups and streaky rosewood board it looks great. The sound is very good too: clear and balanced on the neck pickup with a lovely scooped plonk, angular and creamy on the bridge pickup and perfect into a crunchy amp. These Edwards LPs are still a bit of a 'sleeper' option: really good and no more expensive than a pretty standard Epiphone new.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and scuffs on the front. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear only. The back has minor scuffs on the top horn, elbow area and around the cavity. The sides have dimples in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has dimples near the knobs and elbow area and some play wear on the horns. Note: there never was a pickguard on this model
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
