Electa L300TR LP Classic Transparent Red 2010
Electa L300TR, transparent red, made in China 2010. The Electa brand came out of Japan in the 1970s, offering G-style models out of the Fujigen Gakki factory. This is a reboot-era model, made for Melbourne based distributor Lamberti Brothers in the early 2010s and made out of China. The first thing that sticks out about this is the flame: it's got a pretty swish flame maple cap, and a matching very swish flame maple neck and headstock. The neck is slim and comfy, and unlike modern takes on the genre in this price bracket, you get a nice rosewood board too. The tone is pretty crisp: thick and glassy on the neck pickup, creamy and snarly on the bridge. This is a great little guitar to fill the LP-shaped hole in your heart.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and edges and some scuffs on the front around the posts; note the truss cover is missing. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor rub wear on the back only. The back has dents in the elbow area and middle of the body, surface scratches around the cavity and near the neck join and widespread light scuffs around the whole body. The sides have dimples on both horns and scuffs in the elbow area and near the jack. The front has scuffs around the knobs, along the back edge, around the tailpiece and in the elbow area, as well as play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
