Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s Heritage Cherry Sunburst 2020
Epiphone LP Standard, cherry sunburst, made in China 2020. So many great guitar players own or have owned a Epiphone like this one at some point, they're a bit of a rite of passage. This is a pretty recent example of the long tradition, and it's really pretty good. The neck is comfy, it's assuring in the hands without being too heavy and the hardware all works nicely. The pickups are tasty: clear and full with plenty of openness in the highs and a juicy rounded bass. The burst finish is more muted than many cherry sunbursts, it almost looks like a honeyburst on the front, and that's cool. The flash red back and sides tie it all together nicely. Lots to like, including a handy case you wouldn't get with a new one.
