Epiphone Les Paul Standard Tobacco Sunburst 2003
Epiphone LP Standard, tobacco sunburst, made in China 2003. The Epi LP has been the first decent guitar of many a player. This one is twenty three years old this year, but still looks tip top. The neck is a comfy slim 60s style shape, the body is reasonably lightweight and the hardware is sturdy enough to hold tune nicely. The tone is ready to roll: fat and juicy with a nice creamy kick in the mids. Somehow, a new example now costs A$1499, so hey: 2003 was a good year, right?
