Epiphone SG Modern Figured Trans Black Fade 2019
Epiphone SG Modern, black fade, made in China 2019. The SG debuted in 1961, and really hasn't changed that much since. This model was is Epiphone bringing that classic shape deep into the 21st century, so you get a snazzy fade finish, locking tuners, pickups with coil-split options and a fancy asymmetrical neck with twenty four frets. It feels sturdy and reliable in the hands: the neck has very tidy fret and finish work and offers easy access all the way up, and interestingly leans more towards a fat profile than a thin one. The pickups are bright and snappy with plenty of chime through the mids, and the single coil sounds are pretty usable too. This one is in almost showroom shape, so if you were eyeing off a new one, save yourself $500ish and spend the change on some overpriced sunglasses to match.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has no major marks. The is clean and smooth in the hands, minor scuffs on the back only. The back has minor scuffs in the elbow area and back edge. The sides have dimples on the top horn and near the jack. The front has scuffs around the bridge and elbow area, dimples near the knobs and play wear on the horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
