Fender American Original 60's Stratocaster Sunburst 2022
Fender American Original 60s Strat, sunburst, made in USA 2022. The Am' Orig' series replaced the long running American Vintage line for a couple of years there, before being replaced again by... the American Vintage series again. This model was based on the '65 Strat, so you get a rosewood radius laminate fretboard, mid-60s gold transition decal, three single coils and the stamped saddles. The neck feels great: not super skinny, but not a big fat thing either, and carved from some nice maple. The previous owner replaced the guard with an eggshell coloured example, for maximum mid-60s accuracy, as well as installing a gorgeous set of Eric Johnson pickups. They're beautiful sounding pickups, with a combo of alnico III and V magnets to add extra kick to the bridge pickup while maintaining a broad, singing clarity on the neck and middle. This sounds seriously good: clear, fat and extremely responsive, it's extremely nice. Original case and docs included, original parts not. Nice!

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has very minor dimples on the back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, very minor rub wear only. The back has minor scuffs around the trem cavity and elbow area. The sides have minor dimples in the elbow area. The front has minor dimples near the jack and play wear on the guard and horns..
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
