Fender Boxer Series Stratocaster ST-535 Black 1985
Fender Boxer Strat, black, made in Japan 1985. The Boxer Series was Fender's 'modern' offerings in the mid-1980s, so it included a bunch of hard-rock oriented features like black headstocks, floating tremolos and humbucking pickups. This one is a cool HH Strat, with the rounded body edges akin to an Ibanez Satriani model. It's a Gibson-style 24.75" scale, with a slim 40mm nut, which makes for a super fun, fast and responsive feel in the hands. The pickups are fat and even with a generous natural sustain, so they do nice cleans as well as nasty wailing dirty tones. This is great, it's a cool little slice of 80s excess.
