Fender Japan Classic '69 Telecaster Blue Flower 2016
Fender Classic '69 Tele, Blue Flower finish, made in Japan 2016. We've only ever had one or two of these awesome floral finish Teles through the shop, and they're always a delight to see and hear. The Japan Classic series briefly replaced the TL69 etc models after 2015 when Fender Japan's company structure changed, before the more recent MIJ Trad and Hybrid series became the norm. This is a cool little reissue of the original Blue Flower Telecaster, which are so rare it's hard to even find sold examples. It's got a gorgeous: metallic shimmer over the quirky flower graphic, and paired with the CBS-style logos, maple board and classic curves, it looks a million bucks. The neck is a comfy moderate U shape, and at 3.3kg it's light and lively in the hands. The tone plugged in is bright and snappy, with an open chiming midrange, tuneful fast bass and a tasty sweet snap on the top end. These often list at pretty rude prices in some parts of the world, so grab one for a very respectable dime while it's going.
