Gibson Les Paul Traditional Cherry Sunburst 2009
Gibson LP Trad, made in USA 2009, Cherry Sunburst. The Traditional model takes the LP Standard, relieves the body of some weight and adds the classy '57 Classic pickups. The flame top on show here is very snazzy: deep tight stripes that catch the light differently depending on the angle; very nice. The classic rich red and yellow burst adds pop the picture. The neck is a pretty chunky D style shape, which makes a lot of sense in the hands. The bridge pickup is strong and spicy, with abundant midrange kick, while the neck pickup is gooey and thick. Chances are, this is pretty much what you pictured when someone says 'Les Paul': do it once, do it right.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has minor scuffs on the end and dimples in the corners. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has very minor scuffs in the middle of the body. The sides have minor scuffs around the front strap pin, dimples in the elbow area and near the jack and some light scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has minor dimples near the knobs and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/52 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 9/10, minor wear only
