Gretsch Electromatic G5420T Orange Stain 2016
Gretsch Electromatic G5420T, orange, made in Korea 2015. This is a basic version of the Chet Atkins 6120 Nashville. These Electromatic hollow bodies enjoy a great reputation; they're a very good instrument for a great dollar. This one is in pretty tidy shape and handily includes a Gretsch case. The combo of a huge fully hollow body, Filtertron pickups and a Bigsby trem is a lot of fun... there's enormous quantities of bite, snap and sizzle on offer, all balanced by a thick and generous bottom end. The neck is moderate in profile and features a tasty streaky Indian rosewood board, a luxury not seen on the new models. If you're going to buy a Gretsch, surely it should be big and obnoxiously orange, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and scuffs on the front. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, nom major marks. The back has minor scuffs in the middle of the body. The sides have no major marks. The front has minor play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: excellent condition (9/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
Fret life: 9/10, minor wear only
