(SOLD) Hagstrom Viking Deluxe Semi-Hollow Gold 2007
Hagstrom Viking Deluxe, very gold, made in China 2007. Hagstrom are a Swedish brand dating back to the 60s; their designs have that particular Scandinavian flair for sleek lines and understated elegance. The Viking is their take on the 335-type guitar, so you get a laminate maple body with a centre block and a rock maple neck. You also get some very Hagstrom things: a 15" radius shred-friendly ebony-esque 'Resinator' fretboard with a slim, quick neck, art-deco inspired tuners and a delightful gold finish. It adds up well: the neck is effortless and friendly, and combined with the Bigsby trem, it's a lot of fun to play. The tone is snappy and immediate, but with a warmth, openness and balance that the big body offers. Hagstrom are some of the most underrated guitars going around; you need a dashing Swedish friend in your life right?

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's a couple of very minor dimples on the end of the headstock. Neck is pretty clean. Back has a couple of very light buckle rash scratches; nothing long or deep. The sides have a couple of dimples near the rear strap pin and input jack. The front is very cleam, just some light play scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, intonation is good, action is low, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have very little wear, they're in great shape, 9/10. Setup with fresh 11/49s.
