(ARCHIVE) Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi v7 'Tall Font' Green Russian Fuzz Pedal
- Description
- Guitarchives
In 1984, Mike Matthews, found of EHX, went bankrupt and moved to the Soviet Union. Not long after, he launched a new version of the Big Muff Pi made in Russia, which would go on to be called the 'Civil War' Big Muff owing to the colour scheme. In 1994, version seven of the pedal came out, wearing a coat of drab olive green and stenciled up with military style font. This version, the 'Tall Font Green Russian', was the exact same circuit as the Civil War. You get a smooth, lower gain, brighter and tighter take on the Muff sound, with a bit more midrange and treble kick. This one is all original, aside from missing the feet and battery cover. Plus, it looks badass, right?
