Boss OD-1 Overdrive #0000 Silver Screw 1980
The Boss OD-1 launched in 1977 and was basically the first true overdrive pedal ever made. It uses asymmetrical clipping, which Boss had a patent on at the time, which distorts the positive and negative sides of the waveform differently. Other drives from the same era, like the Tube Screamer, used symmetrical clipping, which made for a smoother sound but meant some of the character of the original signal was lost. This one has the 8-leg TL4558P chip on deck and is in great shape. Grab yourself a very cool little piece of history.
