DOD FX10 Bi-Fet Preamp Pedal
DOD made some awesome stuff back in the day. This pedal was intended originally for use with acoustic guitars with a pickup, to get the signal to a better level and add an EQ bump for more body or more clarity. It's more often used these days on electric guitars with tube amps as a boost and tone-shaper. You can add a fair bit of heft and fullness to the gain, as well as significantly darkening or brightening up the overall tone. It's very fun for legato stoner leads with the tone at zero and the level at max, or set it more sensibly for an always-on detail and sensitivity enhancement. Looks ugly, sounds pretty.
