JHS Supreme 1972 Japan Octave Fuzz Pedal 2020
JHS did us all a solid and made a bunch of easy to use, well made takes on the fuzz pedals that naught but the lawyerist of blueslawyers can afford. This one is based on the 1972 Univox Super-Fuzz out of Japan. The Univox and general tone was popularised by The Who, with the original concept tracing back to the Honey Psychedelic Machine with an amp head housing. JHS's faithful recreation of the 1972 Univox version sounds great with plenty of nasty psychedelic octave fuzz goodness. The two pots control volume and fuzz intensity. The mode button activates GOBLIN MODE -- more pronounced octave up effect, thicker mid-range, and more available volume/boost, while the tone button scoops the mids. Plus, it's shaped like a nice wedge of cheese. Thanks Josh!
